Join Rocky Mountain Astronomy Tours for an unforgettable night under the stars at the Otters and Others Zoo and Conservation. Away from city lights, this unique setting offers darker skies and a peaceful atmosphere perfect for exploring the universe.
Your experience is guided by an experienced astronomer using large, high-powered telescopes to reveal incredible celestial objects. Depending on the night, you may observe planets like Saturn or Jupiter, colorful nebulae, distant galaxies, and dense star clusters—objects that are often invisible to the naked eye.
Throughout the evening, you’ll not only view these objects up close, but also learn the stories and science behind them in an engaging, easy-to-understand way. This experience is designed to be interactive, allowing you to ask questions and deepen your understanding of the night sky.
Set within a zoo and conservation environment, this event also emphasizes respect for nature. Guests are asked to follow low-light guidelines to preserve night vision and minimize disturbance to wildlife, creating a calm and immersive nighttime experience.
Whether you're a first-time stargazer or already passionate about astronomy, this experience offers a memorable way to connect with the cosmos. If rock climbing session or skating sessions are full, you can have a free pass to come back on a different date to redeem.
Families can follow the adventure map to learn about outdoor recreation summer activities and win prizes! Explore unique stalls, savor delicious bites, and soak up the summer vibes of the Great Outdoors Market. This special event brings together local businesses, nonprofit organizations, artisans, food vendors, and community partners for a day of family-friendly activities, educational experiences, and unforgettable animal encounters. Guests can explore the zoo, meet our animal ambassadors, enjoy interactive exhibits, participate in games and activities, and discover the many organizations and businesses that help strengthen our community.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Otters and Others Zoo & Conservation is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of wildlife advocates through hands-on education, conservation, rescue, and community engagement. Community Days is our way of bringing people together to celebrate the importance of protecting wildlife while supporting local businesses and organizations.
Whether you're visiting the zoo for the first time or you're one of our biggest supporters, Community Days offers something for everyone. Come make memories, connect with your community, and help make a difference for animals and conservation.
